In a classic great-room floor plan, the fully-equipped kitchen flows into the dining nook and overlooks the gathering area with its 55” flat screen television, leather top-of-the-line sofa bed, and extra chairs for lots of social interaction. The heart of this home is the kitchen. Multiple prep stations, including a butcher block island, enables family-built meals. The cooking island with the new stove and faces the gathering area so you don’t miss any of the fun! The cooking island countertop seating makes sure everyone is part of the kitchen action! The kitchen is is fully stocked and equipped with all the equipment lyou will need to cook, right down to spices you might use. Bi-fold doors close off the great room from the Office/Library/Study room. Two desks accommodate all your work or school technology space needs. The library also has lots of books to enjoy and a comfy recliner. All the bedrooms are fully furnished with new mattresses and comfortable furniture. The Master Suite has a king-size bed, walk-in closet, and a windowfront seating area for morning coffee while viewing the bird feeders, the gardens, and the expansive lake views. The Master bath has a water closet, large double shower, two sinks, and a bath tub. The separate guest wing has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with twin beds. The guest bathroom has a large shower with its own water heater. There is a pocket door so that the entire Guest Wing can be closed off from the Great Room. I had teenagers, and even had extra soundproofing put in the walls that are shared with the great room! The thirty-seven-foot screened lanai has an outdoor dining area that seats eight and a tiki bar with stools. A safety pool fence separates the 10’x5’ recently resurfaced in-ground heated Spa/Mini-Pool. Access to the spa/pool is through the office/library. All towels and linens are supplied, including extra towels in the spa/pool cabinet. You will appreciate the laundry room with a new large-capacity washer and dryer and ample storage for your luggage. Guest parking includes a carport and a paved brick parking area for up to a total of six cars. The modern technological amenities include wireless internet at mm400 MBPS, Spectrum TV service on four televisions, multiple charging stations, Smart Thermostat, and spa/mini-pool timer with temperature adjustment. Handicap amenities include a step-less entry foyer, wide hallways and door openings, low-threshold showers with grab bars, and even ramp access to the back gardens. The Lanai opens out onto a wood seating deck connecting to the outdoor grilling and lounging patio. The lanai and patio both overlook spectacular and well-maintained gardens filled with seasonal colorful flowers, a globe fire pit with ample sitting benches, well-lit strolling paths, and a hammock to doze in on those gorgeous Florida days. All with the backdrop of the amazing lake and wildlife viewing. As you continue to explore outdoors, you will discover a lakeside seating deck, a new dock with a second seating deck, the quaint firepit surrounded by benches, a canoe garden, the secluded hammock, a kayak rack and three kayaks, and a firewood storage area. The dock allows boat access to the river and lake using your own boat or the provided kayaks. BRINGING A BOAT? The largest size boat that can tie up at my dock is center console, 19 feet max. Depth at dock is 4-5 feet. If you plan to fish the lake outside the marked river channel, you will need a trolling motor. The closest public boat ramp to the house is Goldendale - 2.3 miles down the road. Once launched, motor West (left) through the winding, marked river channel. Stay between channel markers! At channel marker 117 the cove will be on your left. Carefully idle speed to the dock. There are sometimes stumps, depending on water level. Go slow. There is no saltwater access from here. The Nature Coast offers abundant opportunities for recreation, all within short drives. You can visit the quaint historic Dunnellon (boomtown of the 1880’s) shops. Nearby Rainbow Springs State Park, headspring of the Rainbow River, ranked the #1 destination spring in Florida and a gem not to be missed. Crystal River and its quaint shops, on the Gulf Coast, only a 20-minute drive, is known for scalloping in season. A little further south is Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park featuring Floridian animals and birds. Boat tours on both the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers show the beauty of the area. Hiking on the many accessible trails, biking and fishing are other popular activities. Tour one of the many thoroughbred horse farms. 2700 square foot home directly on the the beautiful Withlacoochee river in historic Dunnellon. Just 60 miles north of Tampa. This place is perfect for that weekend get-away or family vacation. Situated down stream from the world famous Rainbow river, it’s just a short boat ride from our dock to the crystal clear cool spring water. There is a boat there that is NOT included in rental...Our back yard has over 200 feet of river front and enough space to dock a few boats if you want to bring them. Don’t have a boat? Captain Bob at the Blue Gator, less than a mile away has pontoon and john boats for rent. To the west down the Withlacoochee, you will see nature at its finest with otters playing, turtles basking and majestic cypress trees swaying in the wind. To the west still are miles and miles of Wetlands with a navigable channel through it all and with a vast array of wild life, it is truly a beautiful site to see and it’s all directly accessible from our dock. Inside our home there is a living room that is the showpiece of the whole property. At over 1000 square foot, there is enough space for all your guests without being on top of each other. Lots of comfortable seating, an oversized pool table, 60” flat screen tv,and 50 feet of river viewing area out glass sliders. We have a fully equipped brand new ,very large kitchen with Convection oven, range, dishwasher, fridge, breakfast bar, and formal dining table and chairs. Kitchen is also stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, silver ware, serving dishes, small appliances, mixer, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and more at your disposal. Also a fully functioning laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer. Sleeping accommodations are; Bedroom 1-king size bed Bedroom 2-queen size bed Bedroom 3-king size bed and queen size Murphy bed. Our construction is a bit unique where bedroom 2 and 3 are concerned and was an add on before we purchased it. While at first glance it appears the only way to access bedroom 3 is thru bedroom 2 , there is however a private entrance to both the second bathroom and bedroom 3 from the inside garage. All mattresses are in excellent condition and very comfortable. We are working on the garage to turn it into a game room and right now has a foosball table with more to come. In the living room there is a large leather sectional, 2 sleeper chairs that convert to twin size beds with memory foam mattress. There is also 1 queen size pull out sofa, all mattresses are in excellent condition and very comfortable. And 2 bathrooms; one with stand up shower and the other with a bathtub /shower. Outside we have the enclosed swimming pool for our guests to cool off and relax in facing the river. We do have outside security cameras that are in place for when home is empty or any emergency arises. There is also plenty of parking for about 6-8 vehicles on our 2/3 acre property. This location is down a dead end road and is very private. Most of the water pictures were taken right off the dock and the others were take just a short boat trip away. Book now to enjoy this gem.

Just a short drive southwest takes you to the town of Crystal River and the Gulf of Mexico where you can dive for scallops, rent boats, swim with manatees visit state parks, and go shelling or ocean fishing. A safety pool fence separates the 10’x5’ recently resurfaced in-ground heated Spa/Mini-Pool. Access to the spa/pool is through the office/library. All towels and linens are supplied, including extra towels in the spa/pool cabinet. You will appreciate the laundry room with a new large-capacity washer and dryer and ample storage for your luggage. Guest parking includes a carport and a paved brick parking area for up to a total of six cars. The dock allows boat access to the river and lake using your own boat or the provided kayaks. BRINGING A BOAT? The largest size boat that can tie up at my dock is center console, 19 feet max. Depth at dock is 4-5 feet. If you plan to fish the lake outside the marked river channel, you will need a trolling motor. The closest public boat ramp to the house is Goldendale - 2.3 miles down the road. Once launched, motor West (left) through the winding, marked river channel. Stay between channel markers! At channel marker 117 the cove will be on your left. Carefully idle speed to the dock. There are sometimes stumps, depending on water level. Go slow. There is no saltwater access from here. The Nature Coast offers abundant opportunities for recreation, all within short drives. You can visit the quaint historic Dunnellon (boomtown of the 1880’s) shops. Nearby Rainbow Springs State Park, headspring of the Rainbow River, ranked the #1 destination spring in Florida and a gem not to be missed. Crystal River and its quaint shops, on the Gulf Coast, only a 20-minute drive, is known for scalloping in season. A little further south is Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park featuring Floridian animals and birds. Boat tours on both the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers show the beauty of the area. The house is located right on Lake Rousseau. This lake is approximately 12 miles long and averages 1 to 1.5 miles wide. The Withlacoochee River runs through Lake Rousseau and helps create what the older locals call the Back Country. The river is unmarked but the lake is with red and green channel markers. It is very important to stay between the markers because the lake is full of cypress stumps, but the stumps create great fish habits and predator hideouts. The lake and river system connects to the Rainbow River which is a 7 mile long river with crystal clear water. It is a very popular river for the tubers. Of course, you can enjoy the entire water system right from your dock. Bring your boat and paddle craft! You are also welcome to carefully use, at your own risk, the 2 canoes and 2 kayaks that are available during your stay. This is an ideal getaway from the city and the noise. The house has a cozy and warm feeling to it and your stay there will be very relaxing. It is tastefully decorated with three spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, top of the line appliances, a big open plan living and dining room with a gas fireplace, a separate TV room/den, laundry room with BRAND NEW Samsung large capacity washer and dryer and two-car garage. Somewhere... now has the option for a beautiful air-conditioned crafting and sewing room -- ideal for group quilting retreats. Each bedroom overlooks the river and the wall of french doors in the living room opens onto the perfect view. There is a large deck that wraps the river side of the house providing fresh breezes from the spring fed river to the accompaniment of dozens of varieties of birds. There is even a dock on the water. The deep water dock is a great place to tie up your boat. A city ramp nearby makes it easy to load and unload your trailer. To the north, the Rainbow River is cold, clear and teeming with wildlife (there is a bridge to go under). To the south, the Withlacoochee is home to some of the best fresh water fishing in Florida. The master bedroom with en suite bath is furnished with a king bed. One guest room holds a queen and the other is decorated with twins. The Rainbow River is fed by the fourth-largest spring in Florida and pours up to 600 million gallons of crystal clear, ice cold water into the Withlacoochee River daily just downstream from Somewhere…. The Rainbow flows at a constant 74° year-round. It may be a little warmer by the time it gets to Somewhere…, about 5 miles downstream from the spring, but it is always bracingly refreshing. Tubing is the most popular activity on the river and the fishing on both the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers is excellent. Rainbow Springs State Park, at the river’s head spring, is just a few miles away and easily accessible from Highway 41, the main road through town. On the river you’re likely to see otters, turtles, deer, osprey, eagles and the occasional alligator. Local tour operators and rental companies can provide everything your party needs to spend a wonderful day on the water. Dunnellon is about 30 minutes from Ocala and Crystal River, and less than 2 hours from Orlando, Tampa and St. Petersburg.
